Q: Where is your office?
A: Robert is moving office locations right now, and is doing out-call massage therapy. For an appointment, please email or call. (Different rates apply for out-call massage therapy sessions due to travel costs.)
Q: What should I expect before my massage therapy session? A: Any massage therapy session begins with you and your therapist sitting down and discussing your expectations for the session, and any health concerns he needs to know about. (For example, you may want your therapist to focus on releasing tension in your shoulders, and you may have a bruised leg that your therapist should not massage.) Please note: if you have certain health conditions (such as diabetes) you should seek the advice of your doctor before receiving massage therapy.
Q: What should I expect during my massage therapy session? A: Your therapist will show you into the massage room and leave you alone. For a table massage, you will be asked to undress to your level of comfort. That means anything from fully clothed to no clothes at all - this is entirely up to you. When you are comfortable, you will lie down on the massage table with a sheet draping you from chin to toes. During your massage, your therapist will uncover the limb being massaged, leaving the rest of your body modestly draped. During massage, your therapist will also check to make sure that the massage pressure is comfortable for you, that you are warm enough, etc. After your massage, you will be left to relax and re-dress at your own pace before leaving the massage room.
Q: What should I expect after my massage therapy session? A: After a massage, you will meet briefly with your therapist. This is a chance for you to give each other feedback on the session, make future appointments, etc. You should always drink plenty of water after a massage to help your body clear any toxins that have been released from tense muscles.
